Brighton have two doubles over the next four gameweeks and in this blog their assets are compared over their last six matches.
March tops the Stats Sandbox for xFPL (46.09) by some distance, the 28-year-old is top for shots (21) and shots on target (SoT) (nine) with only Groß (16) attempting more assists than his 15. He is also top for both 'big chances' (four) and 'big chances' created (eight). Brighton have kept three clean sheets over their last six matches which sees Estupiñán second for xFPL (32.32). He has attempted nine assists over that period with only Alexander-Arnold (13) and Trippier (26) attempting more amongst all defenders. As the below image from our Match Stats feature shows, he is top for assists amongst Brighton players (three) over their last five matches with only Groß (eight) and March (10) creating more chances than his seven.
Mitoma is third for xFPL (29.76) but his numbers pale in comparison to Mac Allister who has been playing a more advanced position with the injury to Lallana over the last two gameweeks. As the above image from our Fix Heatmaps feature shows, Mitoma has taken just a solitary shot and created just one chance over the last two matches with Mac Allister thriving in a more advanced role. The Argentinian international has taken eight shots in the box (SiB), registered 1.68 'Expected Goals' (xG) and created four chances. He is top amongst all Brighton players for both 'big chances' (four) and SiB (eight) over their last two league matches. The sample size of two matches is indeed very small but it is a trend that needs to be taken notice of, especially with Mac Allister on penalty duties.
As per our Fix Algorithm, Mac Allister and Mitoma (11.5 each) are projected to be the top scoring Brighton midfielders over the next two gameweeks with March's injury doubt dropping his numbers slightly to 10.8. Sanchez (12.3) and Dunk (11.3) are the highest projected assets with Estupinan's (7.8) numbers suffering due to injury doubts.
On the basis of this analysis, if March and Estupinan are declared fit for the weekend they are probably the two best Brighton assets to invest in, with Mac Allister in third.
