Liverpool, Wolves, Arsenal and Everton are now scheduled to play twice in gameweek 25 and in this blog their assets are compared to determine the best options.
Nketiah tops the Custom Stats xFPL table over the last six gameweeks with a score of 34.5. None of the players from the four aforementioned teams have taken more shots inside the box (SiB) (20) than the Arsenal striker while only Darwin (eight) has been afforded more 'big chances' than his seven. The duo are joint-top for shots on target (SoT) (10). In midfield, Ødegaard looks to be the standout pick from Arsenal, the Norwegian international is second only to Alexander-Arnold (five) for 'big chances' created (four) and has taken just two fewer SiB (10) than Saka (12). Salah has registered just two goal involvements over the last six gameweeks but is third for xFPL (30.6) which indicates he has been a bit unlucky. The Egyptian international is fourth for SiB (12), third for 'big chances' (three) and 'big chances' created (three) and is arguably one of the best captain options for double gameweek 25.
Martinelli was substituted early against Everton last gameweek and with the inclusion of Trossard in Arsenal's squad, there are some gametime questions around the Brazilian international. His numbers are compared to Saka in the above image from our Fix Heatmaps feature. There is not much really to split the two, Saka is marginally ahead for 'Expected Goals' (xG) (1.26 vs 1.41) with Martinelli taking more shots (16 vs 14). The story is opposite with regards to creativity, though Saka has attempted more assists (14 vs 18), Martinelli edges him for 'Expected Assists' (xA) (1.21). Saka is likely on penalties though, and is more secure for gametime with Trossard lurking.
