In the final part of our double Gameweek 29 blogs, the best assets from Chelsea and Man. Utd are compared.
Havertz tops the Stats Sandbox for xFPL (29.42) over the last six gameweeks and has accrued 23 Fantasy Premier League (FPL) points over that period. It is worth mentioning that Man. Utd have played only four games compared to Chelsea's six over the last six gameweeks due to their involvement in cup competitions. Despite that fact, Rashford tops the table for FPL points (28). The 25-year-old is third for 'Expected Goals' (xG) (1.55) and second for shots on target (SoT) (six) over just 333 minutes. He has been afforded six 'big chances' which is double the figure Havertz or Felix (three each) have managed. There are currently some injury concerns regarding his availability for the weekend but he has been pictured back in training and could be available.
Fernandes is the most creative player in the comparison with 14 chances created and two assists. He is ahead of Havertz for 'Expected Assists' (2.16 vs 1.59) despite playing 116 minutes fewer than the German international. Chilwell and Havertz are joint-top amongst Chelsea players for chances created (11 each) and no player has attempted more crosses than the left-back (38) in the comparison. Shaw has attempted nine assists in fewer minutes and the two left-backs are compared using the Fix Heatmaps feature as shown in the image below.
Shaw has averaged 5.5 points per game over the last six gameweeks compared to 3.8 for Chilwell. In terms of goal threat, Chilwell has the edge, the Chelsea player has taken more shots in the box (SiB) (0.80 vs 0.27) but there is not much to separate them in terms of xG (0.08 vs 0.10). When it comes to creativity, Shaw comes out on top. The Man. Utd left-back has created more chances (2.39 vs 2.20) and also better quality chances as shown by the xA numbers (0.25 vs 0.10). There is not really much to split them, both are excellent options in their own right and managers should look to own both if possible.
As the above image from our Fixture Analyser shows, both Man. Utd and Chelsea find themselves in the bottom half of the ticker due to their blank in gameweek 32. Chelsea do have three home fixtures over the next three gameweeks, but with a Champions League tie against Real Madrid looming, the gameweek 30 and 31 fixtures could see rotation. Man. Utd's fixtures are better in the short-term, they play Brentford, Everton and Forest which all look promising for both attacking and defensive returns. They also double in gameweek 34 and will likely double again in gameweek 37. Unless playing a Free Hit in gameweek 32, loading up heavily on assets from either teams is not advisable.
Shaw, Fernandes and Rashford are the standout picks from Man. Utd while the best Chelsea picks appear to be Havertz, Felix and Chilwell.
