The Premier League has announced all the pending fixtures for the season bar Wolves vs. Man. City and in this blog the schedules of various teams will be examined using the Fixture Analyser. The Wolves vs. Man. City fixture is expected to drop into either gameweek 36 or 37 depending on FA Cup and European results.
Looking at it from the current gameweek, Leicester have the best fixture schedule until the end of the season with three doubles in 33, 36 and 37. The Foxes also have favourable home games against Palace, Villa and Southampton apart from the doubles and the only tricky fixture they have is Spurs away in 35. The Foxes participation in Europe might make things tricky though, if the Foxes do progress to the Europa Conference semi-final they would have midweek games before gameweek 35 and 36 which would make rotation likely in their league fixtures. Similarly, Chelsea have a great schedule but have European commitments prior to gameweek 32 and 33 against R. Madrid, and if they progress they would have games before 35 and 36 as well.
Burnley and Arsenal both have doubles in 33 and neither have European commitments which is worth noting. Getting their players seems like a good move especially without a wildcard left to play. Everton and Palace's schedules are interesting. The Toffees have difficult fixtures in the short term against Man. Utd, Leicester, Liverpool and Chelsea but then have back to back doubles with games against Leicester, Watford, Palace and Brentford which could be critical for their Premier League survival. Arsenal's gameweek 32 and 33 look great but the fixtures in 34, 35 and 37 are not the best.
For those looking to Free Hit in 36 Leicester, Arsenal, Chelsea and Everton are the teams to target as per the Fixture Analyser. It is worth mentioning that three of these teams are also likely to double in 37, so instead of Free Hitting, buying players from these teams could be a good idea.
Apart from Leicester and Chelsea which have already been discussed, Villa and Palace look like teams managers should target on their wildcard. Villa's fixtures from 35 to 37 are particularly appealing from an attacking perspective. Palace have a great run in and as they showed against Arsenal they remain a formidable team with potential in attack and defence. The likes of Mateta (5.2) could be great value.
The Fix Rotation planner indicates that a rotation of players from Leicester and Villa could be fruitful, a pair of Cash and Fofana would give managers four home fixtures and three double gameweeks over the next seven gameweeks. It would also allow managers to capitalise on the best doubles from each team in 36 and 37.
