With the new season upon us, we are delighted to announce fantasyfootballfix.com have partnered with DraftKings, a daily fantasy sports game where you can win cash prizes. Our partnership has allowed us to negotiate some superb offers for you across the 2018/19 season, and to help you win some cash we will be supplying weekly player recommendations utilising our expert projections and advice. This weekend you will be able to play for your share of over £115,000 in guaranteed prizes!
For those unaccustomed to this fantastic daily cash game, you are required to select eight players with a $50,000 salary cap. The structure is as follows;
GK -- D x2 -- M x2 -- F x2 -- UTIL (utility player)
The utility player can be either a D (Defender), M (Midfielder) or F (Forward) and will score points in the same way the other selections. However, you will notice your budget has been spread thin, so, this is all about finding a hidden gem that could score well. For example, a defender that is not typically a big scorer but is playing against a team that struggle to score, therefore heightening the chance of (clean sheet) points.
The format allows you the luxury of entering into a variety of contests including beginner tournaments/leagues, head to heads (against one other opponent), 50/50s (where you win if you finish in the top half) and many more.
The full scoring breakdown is as follows:

Our recommendations to help you win some cash for Saturday 11th August are as follows:
Watford’s new signing has been there and done it. The veteran goalkeeper managed an average of 2.7 saves per game across the 2017/18 season which alone would have equated to roughly five points per game in DraftKings. When you also consider that each goal conceded deducts two points, it is worth remembering that he let in fewer goals (55) than Pickford (58) and Begovic (66) who are alternatives for Saturday’s daily contest. Brighton’s, Ryan, is another option, but, our Fix predicted points & stats feature suggests Watford have a better chance of a clean sheet than their opponents, with a 39% chance to Brighton’s 28%. For more informative data for Goalkeepers, see our custom stats table for DraftKings here
Dave, as he is affectionately known by Chelsea fans, looks a steal this week. With tackles scoring you one point, it is worth highlighting that Chelsea’s ever-present defender amassed a colossal 62 tackles last season at an average of 1.7 per game, handsomely outdoing other popular selections for Saturday’s contest, Coleman (1.3), Luiz (1.1) and Alonso (1). With six points on offer for assists, Azpilicueta’s six assists across the 2017/18 season also highlight his attacking threat and this compared favourably against Alonso (2), Van Aaanholt (1) and Coleman (1). Huddersfield have only managed one goal in their last six meetings versus the “top six” at the end of last season, so, a clean sheet, which earns you three points, should be on the cards. Our Fix predicted points & stats feature supports this with a 50% prediction - the best of any club.
The Ivorian managed an impressive five goals and three assists in his final eight games of the 2017/18 season, aided by his out of position role as a centre-forward. Great news given that 10 points are up for grabs for goals scored in DraftKings. Over the season, he landed 25 shots on target, bringing his DraftKings’ owners a further 50 points. That was considerably more efforts than other standout selections this Saturday; Groß (19), Doucouré (17) and Sigurdsson (12). For more stats relating to crosses, assists and tackles won, see our custom stats table for DraftKings’ outfield players here
The Bournemouth forward ended last season on a high with four goals in his last seven games, so could set you apart from the rest in DraftKings this weekend. King is a more well-rounded player than other eligible forwards for Saturday’s contest, which is ideal for DraftKings. With all players benefitting from tackle and crossing points it is worth pointing out that, King, averaged 0.8 tackles and 1.1 crosses per game last season and this cannot be contested by the likes of Morata (0.3 / 0.6), Tosun (0.2 / 0.5) and Gray (0.0 / 0.3), which is displayed in our custom stats table for DraftKings’ outfield players here. Bournemouth are predicted to score 2.2 goals via our Fix predicted points & stats feature. King, could be that differentiator to win you some cash.
Average salary per player; $6,525
