DraftKings fantasy football is very similiar to Fantasy Premier League (FPL), but does not require full-time commitment like FPL as it offers year round games that you can play as little or as much as you want.

Hennessey has only conceded eight goals across seven games so far this season which alone is pretty decent. But it is the amount of saves he is making that catches the eye given the way the DraftKings' point scoring system works. The shot-stopper is averaging 3.7 saves per game which is scoring his owners almost 8 points alone (2 points per save). He also comes in at a very reasonable price when compared to the other Goalkeepers eligible for Saturday’s contest (that are listed in our custom stats’ table built for DraftKings’ scoring criteria below) and with a DraftKings' fantasy points per game (FPPG) score of over 10 so far this season that puts him ahead of the likes of Schmeichel, Lloris and De Gea. Our Fix predicted points & stats feature suggests Crystal Palace have a 47% chance of a clean sheet, which places them fourth of all 20 teams for this week ahead of Wolves and Leicester to name but two. Holebas at home to Bournemouth should present the veteran Greek defender with a lot of chances in attack, given the Cherries open style of play. The left-back has averaged an enormous nine crosses per game so far. This has earned his owners a sizeable 6.75 points per game (1 point per cross). The Watford man also tops the list for assists per game (0.6) when looking at other viable contenders in our custom stats’ table built for DraftKings’ scoring criteria below. With 6 points up for grabs per assist Holebas’ performance as well as crossing output makes his selection this week a bit of a no-brainer. Watford are predicted to have a 30% chance of a clean sheet according to our predicted points & stats feature, so he could also benefit from the 3 points on offer from this too.
No midfielder that is eligible for this Saturday’s contest has a higher expected assist number than Fraser, with 0.5 per game. Only set-piece guru, Sigurdsson, has managed more crosses per game than the Scottish winger who has picked up an average of 3.75 points per game for his owners from this. For goals scored, which earn you 10 points, Fraser ranks joint-second amongst the below (with 0.4 per game) which is good going considering the calibre of midfielder. The diminutive winger is also showing significant promise in the assist stats, being joint-second for assists (with 0.3 per game) and an expected assist number of 0.5, which is encouraging given that 6 points are on offer for this. We expect a very open game in this one and over 2.5 goals with our predicted points & stats feature suggesting there will be 3.01 goals in this game. Vardy looks to be a reasonable choice this week being priced relatively favourably. Renowned for his pace and playing on the shoulder of the last defender the Englishman should benefit from Everton's high-defensive line this weekend. Vardy has averaged the second most shots per 90 mins (with 2.8) than any other standout selection, as can be seen in the info-graphic below of our custom stats’ table for DraftKings’ scoring criteria. DraftKings offers 1 point per shot, and an additional point for a SoT, so this bodes well for Vardy owners with his respective 2.8 and 1.4 stats per 90 mins which pit him amongst the best performers in the table below. Looking across the same players shown below, the Leicester forward is also first for crosses with an average of 1.8 per game over the first seven games, earning a total of 10 points. Vardy is a selection that looks good particularly as they are predicted to score the third highest total of goals with 1.96 via our predicted points & stats feature.
For those unaccustomed to this fantastic daily cash game, you are required to select eight players with a $50,000 salary cap. The structure is as follows;
GK -- D x2 -- M x2 -- F x2 -- UTIL (utility player)
The utility player can be either a D (Defender), M (Midfielder) or F (Forward) and will score points in the same way as the other selections. However, you will notice your budget has been spread thin, so, this is all about finding a hidden gem that could score well. For example, a defender that is not typically a big scorer but is playing against a team that struggle to score, therefore heightening the chance of (clean sheet, tackles won, passed intercepted etc.) points.
The format allows you the luxury of entering into a variety of contests including beginner tournaments/leagues, head to heads (against one other opponent), 50/50s (where you win if you finish in the top half) and many more.
