DraftKings fantasy football is very similiar to Fantasy Premier League (FPL), but does not require full-time commitment like FPL as it offers year round games that you can play as little or as much as you want.

Here are our fix standout selections for the DraftKings' gameweek 12 daily contest (Saturday 10th November):

GK / Lloris / $5,200

Lloris appears to be a good choice between the sticks this week with an away fixture to the hapless Crystal Palace who have only scored two goals in their last five home league ties. Lloris' DraftKings' fantasy points per game (FPPG) score of 12.4 cannot be rivalled by any other standout selection for Saturday's contest. As always we like to focus our attentions on the amount of saves Goalkeepers are making given how the DraftKings' point scoring system works and for a goalkeeper playing for a 'top six' side Lloris' average of 3.7 saves per game (SPG), the second most SPG (behind Fabianksi) when looking at other standout options for Saturday’s classic contest (with 4.4 SPG) bodes well. It is also worth noting that Lloris has conceded less than Fabianski at just 0.7 goals per game vs. 1.5 and considering you are deducted 2 points per goal, this swings us. Our Fix predicted points & stats feature suggests Tottenham have a 41% chance of a clean sheet. For additional informative data on Goalkeepers, see our bespoke DraftKings’ custom stats table here.

D / Bertrand / $5,500

Watford failed to score against Newcastle last time out, and with Southampton struggling to break teams down in the final third they will look to exploit Watford's latest short-comings in front of goal by keeping it tight at the back. So far, Bertrand has been weighing in with good performances, getting forward at will, and is currently averaging a mighty 6.8 FPPG in DraftKings which is ahead of some other popular choices, as well as his counterpart Cedric (5.9). The Southampton left-back is posting some lovely numbers versus other standout selections for Saturday’s contest as shown in our custom stats’ table built for DraftKings’ scoring criteria below. Given that the DraftKings’ scoring format allows you to score 1 point per shot and an additional 1 point for a shot on target (SoT) Bertrand should weigh in with a solid FPPG score if the Saint can keep the Hornets out. He is also first in the list of eight players for clean sheets which is useful to know given that 3 points are up for grabs for a clean sheet. M / Lamela / $7,200

Lamela looks like he is made for DraftKings given the way the scoring is weighted heavily towards those who shoot a lot and perhaps could be one that is under-the-radar for this week with solid underlying numbers and an attractive fixture away to strugglers, Crystal Palace. With DraftKings awarding 1 point for a shot (and a further 1 point for a SoT), Lamela looks to be a solid selection we should all be squeezing into our lineups this week with his average of 2.1 shots per game, beaten by no one else in the below standout selections' table. The Argentinian international has also averaged more goals per game with 0.6 than any other in the list and given that goals score 10 points in DraftKings, this cannot be overlooked. Crystal Palace look likely to concede goals in this one according to our predicted points & stats feature. The Eagles have a lowly 20% chance of keeping a clean sheet. For more comparisons to other outfield players see our custom stats table created specifically for DraftKings here.

F / Ings / $6,600

Most will have Kane. But, it is a very tough call between both Ings and Wilson for secondary striker in this Saturday’s contest. But with the salary cap saving of $1,500 with Ings it just about sways us towards the Southampton man, since we need every penny we can get to squeeze in Kane. Ings has averaged more shots per 90 mins (with 3.1) than eight other standout selections for this contest, as can be seen in the info-graphic below of our custom stats’ table - built specifically for DraftKings’ scoring criteria. DraftKings offers 1 point per shot, and an additional point for a shot on target, so this bodes well for Ings’ owners. Looking across the same players, the English forward is joint-first for expected goals (0.7) per 90 mins which provides owners with 10 points (the biggest point score on offer across the points board). Ings is a selection that looks good value for money, particularly as Watford are predicted to have a 64% chance of conceding according to our predicted points & stats feature.

How to play DraftKings Fantasy Football

For those unaccustomed to this fantastic daily cash game, you are required to select eight players with a $50,000 salary cap. The structure is as follows;

GK -- D x2 -- M x2 -- F x2 -- UTIL (utility player)

The utility player can be either a D (Defender), M (Midfielder) or F (Forward) and will score points in the same way as the other selections. However, you will notice your budget has been spread thin, so, this is all about finding a hidden gem that could score well. For example, a defender that is not typically a big scorer but is playing against a team that struggle to score, therefore heightening the chance of (clean sheet, tackles won, passed intercepted etc.) points.

The format allows you the luxury of entering into a variety of contests including beginner tournaments/leagues, head to heads (against one other opponent), 50/50s (where you win if you finish in the top half) and many more.

The full scoring breakdown is as follows:
