DraftKings fantasy football is very similiar to Fantasy Premier League (FPL), but does not require full-time commitment like FPL as it offers year round games that you can play as little or as much as you want.

Here are our fix standout selections for the DraftKings' gameweek 27 daily contest (Saturday 23rd February):

GK / Dubravka / $5,500

Newcastle host Huddersfield in gameweek 27, an opportunity to invest in a goalkeeper who is facing one of the worst away sides in the division. As always our attention is focused on the saves potential of the keepers given the DraftKings’ point scoring system rewarding keepers with 2 points per save, on top of 5 for a clean sheet. The Croatian has made 77 saves, the sixth highest in the league, racking up seven clean sheets. No team has scored fewer away goals than Huddersfield’s eight, and only three teams have landed fewer shots on target (SoT) on their travels than the Terriers’ 41. Our Fix predicted points and stats feature suggests that Newcastle have a 65% chance of a clean sheet and for additional informative data on Goalkeepers, see our bespoke DraftKings’ custom stats table here.

D / Pereira / $6,400

Pereira notched his sixth assist of the season as Leicester were unfortunate to lose to Spurs in gameweek 26, his eighth attacking involvement thus far. Leicester have now kept seven clean sheets, the sixth highest in the league. The Portuguese averages 3.4 crosses (+0.75 points in Draftkings), 1.9 interceptions (+0.5 points in DraftKings), 0.3 clean sheets (+3 points in DraftKings), 2.1 tackles (+1 point in DraftKings) and 0.9 shots (+1 point in DraftKings) per match, indicating his multiple routes for points in this format. Leicester’s defensive form at home has been strong, conceding only 38 SoT, the fifth lowest in the league. Our Fix predicted points and stats feature estimates a 37% probability of Leicester keeping a clean sheet this week and for more data like this you can access this custom stats table here.

M / Fraser / $8,600

Bournemouth host a Wolves side that has kept just one clean sheet in the last nine gameweeks, and will have pencilled this game down as a must win given that they Arsenal and Man. City over their next two games. Only Ritchie has averaged more crosses (+0.75 points in DraftKings) per match than Fraser’s 6.3, and the diminutive winger also averages an expected assist (+6 points in DraftKings) nearly every other game with 0.4, and 1.2 shots (+1 point in DraftKings) per match. Our Fix predicted points and stats feature predicts Wolves to have only a 20% probability of a clean sheet this weekend, so the Scot represents a great value option, and for more data like this you can access this custom stats table here.

F / Jiménez / $8,800

Wolves will be looking to build on the momentum gained from their last four matches into this fixture with the Cherries and given that Bournemouth have shipped 10 goals in their last six matches, Jiménez is our forward recommendation for this week. He averages 0.8 crosses (+1 point in DraftKings), 3.1 shots and 1.1 SoT per game, and has racked up nine goals and seven assists already. Our Fix predicted points and stats feature estimates only a 28% probability of a Cherries clean sheet, and for more data like this you can access this custom stats table here.

How to play DraftKings Fantasy Football

For those unaccustomed to this fantastic daily cash game, you are required to select eight players with a $50,000 salary cap. The structure is as follows;

GK -- D x2 -- M x2 -- F x2 -- UTIL (utility player)

The utility player can be either a D (Defender), M (Midfielder) or F (Forward) and will score points in the same way as the other selections. However, you will notice your budget has been spread thin, so, this is all about finding a hidden gem that could score well. For example, a defender that is not typically a big scorer but is playing against a team that struggle to score, therefore heightening the chance of (clean sheet, tackles won, passed intercepted etc.) points.

The format allows you the luxury of entering into a variety of contests including beginner tournaments/leagues, head to heads (against one other opponent), 50/50s (where you win if you finish in the top half) and many more.

The full scoring breakdown is as follows:
