Salah: The Egyptian King's Reign

Mohamed Salah, Liverpool's talisman, continues to be a force in FPL. Last season, Salah graced the pitch for 32 games (2,535 minutes), accumulating an impressive 211 FPL points. However, his end-of-season ownership stood at just 24.0%.

The Egyptian King found the back of the net 18 times, slightly underperforming his expected goals (xG) of 21.38. However, his creativity shone through with 12 assists, marginally underperforming his expected assists (xA) of 12.03. These numbers highlight Salah's dual threat as both a scorer and provider.

Haaland: The Norwegian Goal Machine

Erling Haaland, Manchester City's prolific striker, had an impressive season, despite not being as outstanding as the season before. He clocked 2,556 minutes over 31 games, amassing a staggering 217 FPL points. Haaland's ownership skyrocketed to 73.6% by the season's end, making him a near-essential pick for many managers.

Haaland's goal-scoring prowess was evident with 27 goals, slightly underperforming his xG of 29.44. He also contributed 8 assists, overperforming his xA of 4.34. These statistics underscore Haaland's primary role as a finisher, with a surprising ability to create chances for teammates.
