The above image from the Fix Comparison Matrix shows the averages of the popular Arsenal attackers for the last nine Gameweeks of the season; Saka, Jesus and Ødegaard were the most secure for minutes with Martinelli and Trossard both seeing limited minutes on occasions. Ødegaard was top for FPL points per game (5.9), goals (0.6) and shots on target (SoT) (1.0) but his role in this Arsenal side could change with the signings of Havertz and Rice. Jesus posts the highest shot volume (2.3) and managed more 'big chances' per game (0.8) than Martinelli and Saka combined (0.4 & 0.2). The second-most popular FPL asset in the game (based on current ownership), Saka, had a poor end to the season with just 3.4 FPL points per game but his underlying numbers remained healthy with the 21-year-old finishing second for both shots (2.2) and attempted assists (1.6). Martinelli managed 5.1 FPL points per game despite a meagre average of 64 minutes, the Brazilian international was top for assists (0.4), attempted assists (2.0) and 'big chances' created (0.6) which indicate that when he does get minutes, he is an explosive option.
Use predictive FPL statistics to increase your Gameweek points with the Fix Algorithm.
Saka (30.1) and Jesus (29.7) are the two highest projected scoring Arsenal attackers for the first six gameweeks with Ødegaard (27.4) and Martinelli (26.5) in third and fourth. Havertz (24.4) is in fifth but his role in this Arsenal side remains unknown as of now. Trossard (11.0) is some way behind due to uncertainty of minutes.
The data from last season and the projections indicate that Saka is the best Arsenal attacker with certainty of minutes and strong underlying numbers. Jesus' underlying numbers are also excellent but FPL managers will be hoping that the Brazilian international can improve on his finishing which often let him down. Martinelli is a bit more of a gamble, but the winger is just the kind of explosive differential pick than can give you an early lead in your mini-leagues.
