Isak finished the 2023/24 season strong with nine goals in Newcastle's last 10 matches, only Mateta (11) scored more goals amongst forwards over that period. The Swedish international was top amongst forwards for shots on target (19), 'big chances' (18) and 'Expected Goals' (xG) (10.08). He was also second for 'big chances' created (four). As the below image from our Opta Player Heatmaps feature shows, he averaged 7.4 FPL points per game in home matches last season.
Newcastle scored 26 goals over the last 10 Gameweeks of last season with only Chelsea (30) and Man. City (33) more prolific. The Magpies were top for 'big chances' (45) and second for 'Expected Goals' (xG) (26.17). Their visitors Southampton conceded 63 goals in the Championship last season (14th) and were also ranked 14th for goals conceded in away matches (34). Salah found the back of the net just three times over Liverpool's last 10 matches but the Egyptian international's underlying numbers were still excellent. He was second only behind Palmer for shots (51 vs 44) and 'big chances' (11 vs 10) while no midfielder managed more shots in the box (35). The Elite Managers have a combined 83 top 10k finishes.
Liverpool scored 21 goals (fifth) over the last 10 Gameweeks of the 2023/24 campaign and were top for xG (27.12). Their opponents Ipswich had the seventh best defensive record in the Championship with 57 goals conceded but were ranked 20th for goals conceded in home matches (32). Now classified as a forward, Havertz scored five goals between Gameweek 30-38 and also notched five FPL assists. As the below image from our Opta Stats Sandbox feature shows, no current FPL forward created more 'big chances' than his seven over the aforementioned period. He was also ranked third for shots on target (15) and fourth for shots in the box (27).
Arsenal scored 21 goals (fifth) over the last 10 Gameweeks of last season, the Gunners were fourth for shots (178) and fifth for xG (21.66). Their visitors Wolves conceded a whopping 21 goals over the same period (16th) and kept no clean sheets. The Midlands side were ranked 15th for 'Expected Goals Conceded' (xGC) (20.01). Wood scored five goals for Forest over Gameweek 30-38 last season with only Isak, Haaland (nine each) and Mateta (11) more prolific. He was afforded 14 'big chances' with only Haaland (15) and Isak (18) registering more. He was ranked third for xG (6.35) with only Haaland (8.48) and Isak (10.08) accumulating more. Forest scored 15 goals (13th) over the final 10 Gameweeks of last season and were ranked eighth for 'big chances' (27) and xG (16.93). Their visitors Bournemouth conceded 14 goals over the same period (seventh) and kept three clean sheets. The Cherries were ranked eighth for xGC (14.40). The top scoring defensive asset of the 2023/24 season, White registered 182 FPL points with four goals, five assists and 18 clean sheets. Only Romero (five) scored more goals while only seven defenders managed more assists than his five. He was ranked sixth amongst defenders for 'Expected Assists' (xA) (4.56).
Arsenal conceded just five goals in the last 10 Gameweeks of last season and kept seven clean sheets. The Gunners trailed only Man. City (8.89) for xGC (9.01). Their visitors Wolves scored only eight goals (19th) over the same period with only Luton (8.77) registering a lower xG than their 10.26.
