As shown in the Opta Stats Sandbox image above, Wood is currently the top-rated forward in his price bracket for 'Expected FPL Points' (xFPL), with a score of 68. The New Zealand international leads in shots on target (14), 'big chances' (10), and 'Expected Goals' (xG) (6.8).
Close behind is Cunha, with an xFPL score of 56.28. The 25-year-old ranks joint-top for total shots (31) and fourth for shots on target (11), though he is only ninth in xG (2.48) and has had just two 'big chances,' which raises some concerns. Strand Larsen's numbers also make for interesting reading in comparison to Cunha, as shown in the Opta Heatmaps tool below.
Strand Larsen is currently £1.2m cheaper than Cunha, and while the Brazilian has more than double the shots (32 vs 15), it’s notable that their xG numbers are nearly identical (2.50 vs 2.48), with both players having the same number of shots on target (11). However, Cunha’s significantly better creativity—20 chances created compared to Larsen's seven—suggests he could justify the extra cost, especially if he takes penalties. That said, at £5.6m, the Norwegian international remains a solid option.

Calvert-Lewin leads in shots inside the box (25) and ranks third for 'big chances' (eight), though his conversion has been poor, with only two goals so far this season and none since Gameweek 4.
Welbeck, with 64 FPL points, ranks second only to Wood (68). He is also second to the New Zealand international in shots on target (14 vs 12) and xG (4.70).
Wissa’s numbers are impressive, particularly given his limited playtime due to injury. Despite only playing 568 minutes, the 28-year-old ranks second in 'big chances' (nine) and fourth in xG (4.43). This is from just 15 shots, as shown in his Opta shot map.
Raúl appears to have secured Fulham's centre-forward role ahead of Muniz. The Mexican international ranks fourth in xFPL (54.63) despite playing just 667 minutes and is third in xG (4.49). However, his minutes could be a concern with a busy December schedule, as Muniz often substitutes him in later stages of games.
Evanilson sits fifth in xFPL (45.88) and has achieved an xG of 3.55 (sixth) from just 15 shots in the box (seventh).
Cunha stands out as the most creative forward by a considerable margin in the Opta Stats Sandbox, with 20 attempted assists and nine 'big chances' created. For context, the next most creative forwards, Raúl and Welbeck, have each attempted only 10 assists.
Looking at 'Expected Assists' (xA), Cunha leads with 4.12, followed by Raúl with 2.89, while Strand Larsen interestingly ranks third with 1.25.
Wood, on the other hand, appears to rely almost exclusively on his goal threat, having created only six chances and one 'big chance' across 897 minutes.
As the above image from our Fixture Difficulty Ratings feature shows, Wolves have the best fixtures over the next six Gameweeks with the run from Gameweek 15-17 against West Ham, Ipswich and Leicester particularly attractive.
Leicester are ranked fourth but Vardy's minutes are likely to be managed in a congested period.
Brighton are a team FPL managers should look to attack, as the below image from our Opta Stats Sandbox feature shows, the Seagulls are ranked fifth for shots (159) and are ranked fourth for 'Attack Difficulty'.
Bournemouth are similar with the Cherries ranked fourth for shots and sixth for 'Attack Difficulty'.
Fulham and Brentford are ranked eighth and ninth respectively, both London sides have good short term fixtures but the run stiffens up soon.
Forest are ranked 17th for Fixture Difficulty which indicates that the time to invest in Wood may have passed.
As the above image from our Player Points Projections feature shows, despite the aforementioned difficult fixtures, Wood (24.8) is the top projected mid-priced forward over the next six Gameweeks. Welbeck (24.2) is close behind and it remains to be seen how many minutes the 33-year-old will get over the busy December period.
Raúl's (22.8) numbers tail off after Gameweek 12 and Wissa's (22.2) projections are also affected by his injury concerns after the DR Congo international pulled out of the national squad.
It is interesting to see Strand Larsen (21.2) and Cunha (21.1) have similar projections with a significant price difference between the duo
