As the below image shows, Saliba tops the Custom Stats xFPL table for Gameweek 15 with a score of 14.8. The French international was afforded two 'big chances', one of which he scored.
The Gameweek's highest FPL point scorer with 18 points, Palmer took three shots in the box, two of which were penalties and attempted four assists leading to an xFPL score of 14.3.
Son was top for 'big chances' (three), the South Korean international took four shots in the box and also created two 'big chances' which meant a high xFPL score of 11.5, versus his FPL score of just seven.
Mbeumo reminded FPL managers of his quality with a 13-point haul, the Cameroon international scored from one of his three shots in the box and also attempted three assists, which meant an xFPL score of 11.2.
Haaland continued to underwhelm, the 24-year-old took three shots in the box and was afforded two 'big chances', but could convert only one. He registered an xFPL score of just 6.9 with 11 players faring better.
xFPL is calculated primarily using expected goals (xG), assists (xA), which combine as Fantasy Premier League (FPL) involvements (xG + xA = xI), as well as expected clean sheets (xCS). These numbers are a result of underlying statistics (i.e. shot type and location will give a probability of scoring = xG). xFPL is the combination of these statistics and factors in appearance and bonus points to give an overall expected FPL point score.
As the below image from our Transfer Analytics feature shows, Saliba is the most popular transfer in for Gameweek 16 so far. Nearly 200,000 FPL managers have brought him in at the time of writing.
Isak, Palmer and Enzo are popular after returns in consecutive Gameweeks, while M. Salah continues to find new suitors.
With limited minutes across the last two Gameweeks, Welbeck is the most sold player while Haaland continues to be sold in droves.
A look at the Top 10 forward transfer combinations shows that the traffic is largely heading towards Isak, with the Swedish international accounting for seven of the top 10 combinations. Haaland, Watkins, N. Jackson, Welbeck and Wissa are the forwards making way.
As the above image from our midfield transfer combinations shows, raising money through budget assets is in vogue with seven of the top 10 combinations involving bringing in one of Enzo, Rogers or Amad.
A look at the Top 10 defender transfer combinations indicates that the midfield and forward savings are being invested in defence. Premium assets like Saliba, Timber and Alexander-Arnold make up seven of the top 10 combinations with Lewis, Mazraoui, Gabriel and Gvardiol making way.
As the above image from our Opta Player Heatmaps feature shows, Enzo has returned a whopping 35 FPL points over the last four Gameweeks at an average of 8.8. Meanwhile, Amad has impressed as well under Amorim, with 25 FPL points over the same period at an average of 6.3. Both players have started every game over a busy period which bodes well for their minutes in the future.
As the above image shows, Enzo has found the back of the net thrice over the last four Gameweeks while Amad has not scored despite the pair taking the same number of shots (eight). It is worth mentioning that Enzo has significantly overperformed his 'Expected Goals' (xG) tally of 0.95
When it comes to creativity, Amad slightly has the edge with four assists compared to two for the Argentinian international. The winger is also ahead on 'Expected Assists' (xA) (1.46 vs 1.73) which indicates that this is no fluke.
Both players look like great enablers but with goals worth more FPL points than assists, Enzo appears to be the better option.
