Top Five Key Players for Fantasy Premier League 2024/25 Gameweek 20

FPL Headliner: Mohamed Salah (MUN)

Salah has racked up a whopping 69 FPL points over the last six Gameweeks (six goals, six assists and 10 bonus points) with only Isak (62) coming close to that number.

As the below image from our Opta Stats Sandbox feature shows, no midfielder has attempted more shots in the box (27) than the Egyptian international over that period, and he is also top for both 'big chances' (eight) and 'Expected Goals' (xG) (5.19).

Liverpool have scored 19 goals over the last six Gameweeks, more than any other side. The Merseyside outfit are top for 'big chances' (15.46) and third for xG (15.46)

Their visitors Man. Utd. have conceded 13 goals over the same period with only Spurs, Southampton (14 each) and Leicester (15) more porous. The Red Devils have kept no clean sheets and are ranked seventh for 'Expected Goals Conceded' (xGC) (8.26).

Top FPL Forward: Ollie Watkins (LEI)

With Duran still suspended, Watkins spot in Villa's starting lineup is secure. None of their players have found the back of the net more often (six) than the England international in home matches.

Meanwhile, only Haaland has registered more 'big chances' (14 vs 12) and a higher xG (8.39 vs 7.90) amongst forwards in home matches.

Villa have scored 17 goals in home matches this season, only Liverpool, Arsenal (18 each), Spurs (25) and Brentford (27) have fared better. Meanwhile, only Man. City (20.62) have registered a higher xG at home than the Villains (20.55).

Their opponents Leicester have conceded 15 goals over the aforementioned period, more than any other side. No team have allowed opponents more shots (115) while only West Ham (13.25), Ipswich (13.57), Spurs (14.73) and Southampton (17.75) have fared worse for xGC than their 13.18.

Best FPL Budget Forward: Chris Wood (wol)

Wood's goal against Everton was his second over Forest's last five league matches, as the below image from our Match Stats feature shows, the New Zealand international is second amongst Forest players over that period for goals (two), xG (1.2) and shots on target (four).

Forest have scored 10 goals over the last six Gameweeks (sixth) and have been afforded 11 'big chances' (13th).

Their hosts Wolves have conceded 10 goals over the same period (13th) and have kept two clean sheets. The Midlands side are ranked 13th for shots conceded (78) and fourth for xGC (7.26).

Best Midfield Differential: Antoine Semenyo (EVE)

Semenyo has racked up 35 FPL points in Bournemouth's nine home matches (two goals, one assist and three bonus points), while no midfielder has attempted more shots (41) in home matches than the Ghanaian international.

Bournemouth have scored nine goals over the last six Gameweeks (ninth) but are ranked top for shots (116) and fourth for xG (14.08).

Their visitors Everton have conceded just three goals over the last six Gameweeks (first) and have kept three clean sheets. The Toffees are ranked fifth for shots in the box conceded (66) and sixth for xGC (8.14).

Top Defensive Asset: Antonee Robinson (IPS)

Robinson's assist against Bournemouth was his seventh of the season, no defender has managed more. The 27-year-old is ranked sixth amongst defenders for attempted assists (24) and 'Expected Assists' (xA) (2.92).

Clean Sheet Probability Gameweek 20 Fantasy Premier League 2024/25

Fulham have conceded seven goals over the last six Gameweeks (fifth) and have kept one clean sheet. The Cottagers are ranked ninth for shots conceded (74) and 11th for xGC (8.90).

Their visitors Ipswich have scored just five goals over the last six Gameweeks with only Man. Utd (four) and Southampton (two) faring worse. The Tractor Boys are ranked 19th for both 'big chances' (six) and xG (5.85) over that period.
