Top Five Key Players for Fantasy Premier League 2024/25 Gameweek 21

FPL Headliner: Cole Palmer (BOU)

Despite Chelsea's recent malaise, Palmer has found the back of the net four times over the last six Gameweeks. The England international (nine) trails only Salah (11) and Semenyo (11) for shots on target amongst midfielders.

Meanwhile, no player across all positions has attempted more assists (20) over that period.

As the below image from our Opta Player Heatmaps feature shows, he has averaged 8.7 FPL points per game in home matches this season.

Chelsea have scored eight goals over the last six Gameweeks (12th), but are ranked third for shots (102) and eighth for 'Expected Goals' (xG) (10.98).

Their opponents Bournemouth have conceded just four goals over the aforementioned period (second) and have kept three clean sheets. However, the Cherries are ranked as low as 15th for shots conceded (87).

Top FPL Forward: Alexander Isak (WOL)

Isak has been on fire for Newcastle over the last six Gameweeks. No player across all positions has scored more goals (eight) than the Swedish international and he is also top for 'big chances' (11).

The 25-year-old is also top for attempted assists (15), 'big chances' created (four) and 'Expected Assists' (xA) (1.93) amongst forwards.

Newcastle have scored 17 goals over the last six Gameweeks, with only Liverpool (18) more prolific. Bournemouth (114) are the only side to have attempted more shots than the Magpies (106) over that period.

Their visitors Wolves have conceded nine goals over the same period (ninth) and have kept two clean sheets. The Midlands side are ranked 11th for shots conceded (74) and sixth for 'Expected Goals Conceded' (xGC) (8.53).

Fulham have scored nine goals over the last six Gameweeks (eighth) and are ranked 15th for shots in the box.

Their hosts West Ham have conceded 12 goals over the same period, with only Man. Utd. (13), Southampton (14), Spurs (15) and Leicester (16) faring worse. No team have allowed opponents more shots than the Hammers (111) over that timeframe.

Best Midfield Differential: Bruno Fernandes (SOU)

B. Fernandes found the back of the net for Man. Utd. in their FA Cup game against Arsenal and as the below image from our Match Centre feature shows, over their last five league matches he is top amongst their players for 'Expected Goals' (xG) (1.9), shots on target (five) and attempted assists (12).

Man. Utd. have scored just six goals over as many Gameweeks, but are ranked seventh for shots (84).

Their visitors Southampton have conceded 14 goals over the same period (18th) and have kept one clean sheet. The Saints are ranked 19th for shots in the box conceded (107) and 20th for xGC (17.46).

Top Defensive Asset: Lewis Hall (WOL)

Hall's total of 43 FPL points over the last six Gameweeks is top amongst defenders, the left-back has racked up three assists, four clean sheets and seven bonus points over that period.

Alexander-Arnold and Robinson (12 each) are the only defenders to create more chances than his 10.

Newcastle have conceded just five goals over the last six Gameweeks (fifth) and have kept four clean sheets. Meanwhile, Arsenal (23) and Liverpool (31) are the only teams to have allowed opponents fewer shots in the box than the Magpies (36).

Their opponents Wolves have scored nine goals over the same period (eighth) and are ranked sixteenth for xG (7.85).
