Top Five Key Players for Fantasy Premier League 2024/25 Gameweek 22

FPL Headliner: Mohamed Salah (bre)

Despite his blank against Forest, Salah is still the top scoring FPL midfielder over the last six Gameweeks with 60 FPL points. No midfielder has scored more goals (five) or notched more assists over that period.

As the below image from our Opta Stats Sandbox feature shows, the Egyptian international is also top for shots in the box (32), 'big chances' (eight), 'Expected Goals' (xG) (6.01) and 'big chances' created (eight).

Liverpool have scored 19 goals over the last six Gameweeks (first) and are also top for shots on target (49) and 'big chances' (30).

Their hosts Brentford have conceded nine goals over the same period (11th) and have kept one clean sheet. West Ham (113) are the only side to have allowed opponents more shots than the Bees (103).

Top FPL Midfielder: Cole Palmer (WOL)

Palmer has found the back of the net thrice over the last six Gameweeks with only Foden, Mbeumo (four each) and Salah (five) more prolific amongst midfielders. Meanwhile, only Semenyo (11) and Salah (13) have landed more shots on target than his nine.

The England international trails only his teammate Enzo (20) for attempted assists (19) while only J. Murphy, Bruno G., Rice (six each) and Salah (eight) have created more 'big chances' than his five.

Chelsea have scored just six goals over as many Gameweeks (14th), but are second for shots (111) and sixth for xG (10.95).

Their visitors Wolves have conceded 10 goals over the aforementioned period (14th) and have kept two clean sheets. The Midlands side are ranked eighth for shots in the box conceded (49) and ninth for 'Expected Goals Conceded' (xGC) (9.33)

Best FPL Budget Forward: Chris Wood (SOU)

Wood's goal against Liverpool made it three in the last six Gameweeks for the New Zealand international, only Gakpo (four) and Isak (nine) have fared better amongst forwards.

As the below image from our Opta Stats Sandbox feature shows, Semenyo (11) and Salah (13) are the only midfielders to land more shots on target than his nine, while only Gordon (six) and Salah (eight) have been afforded more 'big chances' than his five.

Palace have scored nine goals over the last six Gameweeks and are ranked fifth for both shots on target (35) and xG (11.93).

Their hosts West ham have conceded 13 goals over the same period (17th) and have kept just one clean sheet. No team have allowed their opponents more shots (113) than the Hammers, with only Southampton (14.90) faring worse for xGC (13.64).

Their visitors Southampton have scored just once over the last six Gameweeks and are bottom for shots (47).
