As the below image shows, Minteh tops the Custom Stats xFPL table for Gameweek 22 with a score of 11.8. The 20-year-old took two shots, one of which was classified as a 'big chance' by Opta and also created two 'big chances'.
Kluivert notched the third biggest FPL-haul of this season with 22 points (three goals, one assist), the 25-year-old was clinical and scored from all three of his shots en route to an xFPL score of 9.6.
The Gameweek’s second-highest point-scorer, Foden, earned 19 FPL points. He took three shots inside the box, two of which were classified as ‘big chances’, and also created two opportunities, resulting in an xFPL score of 10.9.
Salah was joint-top for chances created (seven), but none of his three shots were classified as a 'big chance' which meant an xFPL score of just 7.6.
No player took more shots than Calvert-Lewin (six), the 27-year-old was also top for 'big chances' (three) and registered an xFPL score of 7.9.
Mbeumo (four) led the way for shots on target, the Cameroon international tested the keeper with all four of his attempts but none were classified as a 'big chance' which meant a low xFPL score of just 3.6.
xFPL is calculated primarily using expected goals (xG), assists (xA), which combine as Fantasy Premier League (FPL) involvements (xG + xA = xI), as well as expected clean sheets (xCS). These numbers are a result of underlying statistics (i.e. shot type and location will give a probability of scoring = xG). xFPL is the combination of these statistics and factors in appearance and bonus points to give an overall expected FPL point score.
As the below image from our Transfer Analytics feature shows, Kluivert is the most popular transfer in for Gameweek 23 so far. Nearly 290,000 FPL managers have brought him in at the time of writing.
With 12 points against Southampton, Wood (135) is now just two FPL points behind Isak (137) amongst Forwards. The New Zealand international has been brought in by over 150,000 FPL managers ahead of the fixture against Bournemouth.
Alexander-Arnold and Foden are also popular acquisitions after double-digit hauls in Gameweek 23.
Saliba's injury has seen him sold by nearly 200,000 FPL managers, while the forward trio of N. Jackson, Solanke and Raúl are also being sold in droves after blanking or not featuring.
It is perhaps surprising to see Palmer sold by over 100,000 FPL managers with 34 FPL points over the last five Gameweeks, the England international trails (67%) trails only Salah (70%) for overall ownership.
A look at the Top 10 Forward transfer combinations below, shows that N. Jackson to Gakpo (17.7%) is the most popular transfer combination across all positions this Gameweek.
Five of the top 10 forward transfer combinations involve selling the Chelsea forward with Mateta, Wissa, Wood and Watkins the primary targets. Haaland, Cunha and Raúl are the other forwards making way, with Gakpo and Mateta the main beneficiaries.
In the Top 10 Midfield transfer combinations, four of the top 10 involve selling I. Sarr for Kluivert, Mbeumo, Rogers or Amad. Enzo, Savinho and J. Murphy are the other players being sold for the same aforementioned targets, with budget midfield transfers in vogue.
The Top 10 Defender transfer combinations is dominated with transfers in for Alexander-Arnold and Konaté with Liverpool's Double Gameweek 24 in mind. Saliba, Gabriel, Gvardiol, Timber, Robinson, Colwill and Lewis are some of the defenders making way.
As shown in the image below from our Opta Player Heatmaps feature, Kluivert has accumulated 43 FPL points over the last six Gameweeks, with more than half coming against Newcastle last weekend (22 points). Meanwhile, Semenyo has been close behind, scoring 36 FPL points at an impressive average of 6.0 per game.
It is worth noting that Semenyo has played 539 minutes compared to just 379 for Kluivert. The latter missed out entirely in Gameweek 19 and saw early substutitions in four of the six aforementioned Gameweeks. With Bournemouth's injuries and his sensational form, Kluivert's minutes could be expected to increase but that remains to be seen.
As the above image shows, Kluivert narrowly beats Semenyo for 'Expected Goals' (xG) (2.98 vs 2.72) and has scored more goals (five vs two). However, Semenyo beats him for shots in the box (eight vs 15) and shots on target (six vs nine).
Meanwhile, although Kluivert has created more chances (five vs three), Semenyo is ahead for 'Expected Assists' (xA) (0.49 vs 1.25) which indicates the Ghana international has the edge for creativity.
Both look like good picks ahead of Bournemouth's good run of fixtures but with form and penalties on his side, Kluivert could be the better pick.
