As the below image shows, Schade tops the Custom Stats xFPL table for Gameweek 25 with a score of 10.3. The 23-year-old took three shots in the box, two of which were 'big chances' by Opta, and landed two attempts on target.
Marmoush has been the Gameweek's top scorer so far with 17 FPL points, the Egyptian international took three shots in the box, two of which were classified as 'big chances' and scored with all three of his attempts on target leading to an xFPL score of 7.9.
Lukić was the weekend's most creative player with six attempted assists, the midfielder also took two shots in the box but had zero 'big chance' involvements which meant a low xFPL score of just 4.4.
Rogers was unlucky not to get any FPL returns, the England international took five shots in the box, two of which were 'big chances' and also attempted four assists. His xFPL score of 9.1 indicates that his owners were extremely unfortunate.
Cunha put himself back on the FPL radar with a well taken goal against Liverpool, the Brazilian international was third for shots (six) with three of his attempts arriving from within the penalty area. He scored from his only attempt on target and notched an xFPL score of 6.8.
Spurs' new signing, Tel, led the way for shots in the box (six) and was joint-top for shots (seven) as well. He landed three of his efforts on target but had no 'big chance' involvements which meant a low xFPL score of just 4.6.
xFPL is calculated primarily using expected goals (xG), assists (xA), which combine as Fantasy Premier League (FPL) involvements (xG + xA = xI), as well as expected clean sheets (xCS). These numbers are a result of underlying statistics (i.e. shot type and location will give a probability of scoring = xG). xFPL is the combination of these statistics and factors in appearance and bonus points to give an overall expected FPL point score.
As shown in the below image from our Transfer Analytics feature, Marmoush is currently the most popular transfer ahead of Gameweek 26 after his hattrick against Newcastle with over 250,000 FPL managers already bringing him in.
Kluivert, Mitoma, Nwaneri and Wood all registered attacking returns and are popular acquisitions at accessible prices.
Amad, Gakpo, N. Jackson and Ndiaye missed the weekend with injuries and are amongst the top five players being sold, with the popular Palmer in third.
A look at the Top 10 Forward transfer combinations shows that FPL managers are bringing in Marmoush, Cunha, Wood, Beto and Wissa for Gakpo, Ndiaye, Isak, Watkins and João Pedro. Gakpo to Marmoush is the most popular at 19.4%.
As shown in the image below, from the Top 10 Midfield transfer combinations, Amad to Nwaneri (13.6%) is the most popular combination with budget midfielder transfers in vogue.
Rogers and Amad account for nine of the top 10 midfielder transfer combinations with Kluivert, Semenyo, Mitoma, O. Dango and Nwaneri the beneficiaries.
The Top 10 Defender transfer combinations are more scattered with no combination accounting for more than 10% of the traffic. Bournemouth defenders are popular acquisitions with Kerkez and Huijsen finding themselves in six of the top 10 defender transfer combinations.
Robinson is the fourth most-owned defender in FPL, with over 25% ownership. However, Fulham’s fixtures are getting tougher, while Bournemouth’s are improving. As a result, many FPL managers are considering a switch to Kerkez, who has 92 points—two more than Robinson—and is currently the seventh-highest scoring defender.
As shown in the image above from our Opta Player Heatmaps feature, Robinson (24) has scored five FPL points fewer than Kerkez over the last six Gameweeks with both fullbacks featuring for every minute.
As the stats from the above image show, neither fullback has significant goal threat with the duo managing a combined 0.26 xG over 1080 minutes. They have both taken the same number of shots in the box (two) while Kerkez has landed one attempt on target compared to none for Robinson.
Robinson has the edge for creativity, the American international is ahead for FPL assists (three vs one) and attempted assists (nine vs four) but the fact that the 'Expected Assists' (xA) (0.52 vs 0.44) are pretty close indicates that Kerkez is creating better quality chances.
As the below image from our Fixture Difficulty Ratings shows, Bournemouth are ranked fourth for 'Defence Difficulty' over the next six Gameweeks with home fixtures against Wolves, Brentford and Ipswich the highlight. Fulham are ranked 18th with games against Arsenal, Spurs and Liverpool to come.
Based on the above, making the switch to Kerkez from Robinson seems like a good idea.
