The Golden Boot winner of the 2023/24 season, Haaland, has started the new campaign strong with four goals in the opening two games. The Norwegian international is top amongst all players for goals (four), shots on target (six), 'big chances' (four) and 'Expected Goals' (xG) (2.33). As the below image from our Opta Player Heatmaps feature shows, he averaged 6.7 FPL points per game in away matches last season.
Man. City have scored six goals in the opening two Gameweeks (first) with only Bournemouth (4.14), West Ham (4.54) and Liverpool (5.66) registering a higher xG. Their hosts West Ham conceded 74 goals last season (17th) and kept only five clean sheets. The Hammers were ranked 18th for 'Expected Goals Conceded' (xGC) (75.75). Palmer reminded FPL managers of his pedigree with three assists and a goal against Wolves after a blank in Gameweek 1. No player scored more FPL points (143) or goals (16) in home matches last season, while only Salah (22) was afforded more 'big chances' than his 16. As the below image from our Transfer Analytics feature shows, he is currently the fourth most transferred in player this week.
Chelsea are the joint-top scorers so far with six goals, the London side were ranked sixth for goals scored in home matches last season (44). Their visitors Palace have had a poor start to the season with four goals conceded, no clean sheets and zero points. The Eagles are ranked just 12th for xGC (2.97) over the opening two matches. Havertz failed to find the back of the net against Villa in Gameweek 2 but only Welbeck (21) and Haaland (24) have scored more FPL points amongst forwards than his 14. He is ranked third for shots in the box (six) with only Haaland (eight) and Muniz (nine) faring better, while only Haaland (2.33) has registered a higher xG than his 1.20. As the below image from our Fixture Difficulty Ratings feature shows, Arsenal are ranked first for 'Attack Difficulty' over the next six Gameweeks.
Arsenal have found the back of the net four times this season and were ranked fourth for goals scored on home turf last year (48). Their visitors Brighton conceded 35 goals in away matches last season and kept just three clean sheets on their travels. The Seagulls were ranked sixth for xGC (33.64) in away matches. Gibbs-White will be looking forward to facing his old club after getting on the scoresheet against Southampton in Gameweek 2. As the below image from our Opta Stats Sandbox feature shows, he is top amongst Forest players for FPL points (12), shots in the box (four) and attempted assists (six).
Forest scored 27 goals in home games last year (15th) and were ranked 16th for 'big chances' (37). Their visitors Wolves have conceded eight goals over the opening two Gameweeks, more than any other side. The Midlands outfit are ranked 17th for shots conceded (32). Arsenal have started the new season where they left off with two clean sheets in the opening two matches and White was last season's top scoring FPL defender (182 points) with four goals, five assists and 18 clean sheets. The right-back has already taken two shots and landed one attempt on target.
The Gunners are ranked fourth for shots in the box conceded (13) and sixth for xGC (2.06). Their visitors Brighton have started the season strong under their new manager with five goals but the Seagulls were ranked just 10th for xG in away matches last season (26.43).
