Elite FPL Manager History

These aren’t your average FPL managers. Cooper boasts seven top 10k finishes and a personal best of 1,000th. Craig, known in the community as Copenhagen Wednesday, has six top 10k finishes, including a standout 80th place overall finish. And Corey has four top 10k finishes, peaking at an impressive 897th.

All three are part of the Elite XI: Team Reveal tool, an exclusive Fantasy Football Fix feature that offers Premium Plus members behind-the-scenes access to their strategies all season long.

Here’s how they’re approaching BGW34—and the players making (or missing) the cut.

Corey Baker: Six Nailed Picks

Corey is building around a reliable spine, while weighing up some key decisions in midfield and attack.

“I’m probably not going with Palmer and likely not Mbeumo either in midfield. But not sure yet.”

He’s considering a midfield of Luis Diaz, Kluivert, Barnes, and Salah, with Isak, Cunha, and Welbeck up front.

At the back, he prefers Robinson over Sessegnon, citing concerns about Wilson potentially eating into minutes. Here's players Corey is currently set on in the Future Planner tool.

“Ait-Nouri, Robinson, Salah, Kluivert, Isak, Cunha—those six feel nailed. The rest? Still up for grabs.”

Craig (Copenhagen Wednesday): It’s A Chaos Gameweek

Craig is also swerving Mbeumo, but backing Palmer despite his and Chelsea’s inconsistency.

“Cucurella’s getting love in drafts, but I don’t trust Chelsea to keep a clean sheet, so I’ll pass.”

He’s backing Sessegnon, and sees Welbeck or Raul as better punts than Evanilson. He’s also eyeing up a bold differential in Strand Larsen.

“Could be a whopper or a floater,” he admits. “Still undecided on that one.”

His take on the week? Expect volatility!

“There are loads of options, but a lot of these calls will come down to luck, not logic.”

James Cooper: “It’s about finding the right combos.”

Cooper is avoiding certain popular picks—Barnes, for example—due to rotation fears.

“I don’t like Barnes only because Gordon is lurking and could take minutes off him.”

While many are hesitant on Evanilson, Cooper sees potential there.

“I like the look of Evanilson. Man United might rotate ahead of Europe, and he’s got good data.”

He also gave us a big-picture view of the landscape:

“Everyone will have Isak—then there’s a scrap between Evanilson, Cunha, Welbeck, Strand Larsen, Raul. I think they’re all good options.”

Premier League forwards' stats

When comparing the forwards in the Opta Stats Sandbox, it’s easy to see why each one is a viable option for Blank Gameweek 34.

In midfield, while Salah is the only guaranteed pick, Cooper sees plenty of room for creativity:

“I can understand why people wouldn’t want Palmer or Mbeumo—for different reasons. But there are lots of interesting alternatives: Kluivert, Semenyo, Luis Diaz, Barnes/Murphy could all do very well.”

Final Thoughts: Who Are the Safe Picks?

Across the three managers, a few key players are consistently backed:

  • Salah – Undisputed midfield anchor
  • Isak – Locked into most drafts
  • Ait-Nouri – Offers attacking potential and clean sheet potential
  • Cunha – A reliable forward pick

Meanwhile, fringe players like Palmer, Mbeumo, and Barnes continue to divide opinion. It’s a week that could be shaped by clever punts—and a bit of fortune.
