As the below image shows, Burn tops the Custom Stats xFPL table for Gameweek 34 so far with a score of 12.7. The England international scored from his only attempt in the box and also attempted one assist.

Trippier rewarded his backers with 15 FPL points, converting two of his three attempted assists — including one classified as a 'big chance' by Opta — and recording an impressive xFPL score of 11.4.

No player attempted more assists than Szoboszlai (eight). The Hungarian international also took two shots and posted an xFPL score of 9.0, the highest among Liverpool players.

Cunha, a popular transfer ahead of the weekend, delivered 15 FPL points. He ranked third for shots (six) and fourth for attempted assists (five), but with only one 'big chance' involvement, his xFPL score was a relatively modest 8.7.

Raúl was a popular Free Hit pick. The Mexican international attempted more shots in the box (seven) than any other player, but with just one 'big chance' and only one shot on target, he finished with a disappointing xFPL score of 5.0.

Isak’s owners could feel hard done by. The Swedish international led the way for 'big chances' (three) and ranked third for shots in the box (five), but with only one shot on target, he ended up with a low xFPL score of 8.8.

What is xFPL?

xFPL is calculated primarily using expected goals (xG), assists (xA), which combine as Fantasy Premier League (FPL) involvements (xG + xA = xI), as well as expected clean sheets (xCS). These numbers are a result of underlying statistics (i.e. shot type and location will give a probability of scoring = xG). xFPL is the combination of these statistics and factors in appearance and bonus points to give an overall expected FPL point score.

Early FPL Transfer Activity Analysed - Which players are FPL managers buying and selling?

As shown in the below image from our Transfer Analytics feature, Mbeumo is currently the most transferred in player with over 50,000 FPL managers bringing him in at the time of writing.

The Wolves duo of Cunha and Aït-Nouri are popular after their heroics in Gameweek 34, but with Man. City up next in Gameweek 35 it may not be the best week to transfer them in.

Gvardiol and Marmoush did not feature in league action last weekend but are set to face Wolves and Southampton in their next two matches, leading to a surge in transfers in from FPL managers.

Palmer blanked again, making him the most transferred-out player this week. Robinson, João Pedro, and Rashford also missed out due to injury or suspension, resulting in heavy sales.

Evanilson completes the top five most transferred-out players after his red card against Manchester United, which has ruled him out for the next three Gameweeks.

As the below image from the Top 10 Forward transfer combinations shows, selling Mateta appears to be the priority for FPL managers with sales of the French international for one of Wood, Wissa or Cunha accounting for nearly half of the top 10 (45%).

Top 10 Forward FPL transfer combinations

The Top 10 Midfield transfer combinations paint a clear picture as well with all of the combinations involving buying Mbeumo. I. Sarr, Saka, Palmer, Rashford and B. Fernandes are some of the players making way.

The Top 10 Defender transfer combinations are fairly scattered but Muñoz to Milenković is by far the most popular combination (18.8%). Sessegnon, Aït-Nouri, Gvardiol and Mykolenko are some of the other popular acqusitions.

Brentford Attack - Mbeumo vs Wissa

Mbeumo and Wissa have both been great FPL picks over the last six Gameweeks, with the pair averaging 7.4 and 7.0 FPL points per game respectively.

Points Comparison Mbeumo vs Wissa

As the above image from our Player Heatmaps feature shows, the duo have both featured for 90 minutes in each match as well, which further heightens their FPL appeal.

Stats Comparison Mbeumo vs Wissa

Both players have scored three goals apiece with Wissa ahead for 'Expected Goals' (xG) (1.70 vs 2.23). Both players have identical shot volume as well, with 12 shots and five shots on target apiece, but Wissa has more attempts in the box (eight vs 12), which explains his higher xG tally.

When it comes to creativity, Mbeumo has the edge. The Cameroon international has attempted 13 assists to Wissa's five and has created four 'big chances' compared to none for the latter.

With more routes to points and penalty duties, Mbeumo looks to be the better pick but a double up on the duo is also a great option for Brentford's run in.
