Haaland has started the 2024/25 season in blistering form, the Norwegian international is top amongst all players over the opening three Gameweeks for goals (seven), shots on target (10) and 'Expected Goals' (xG) (3.74).
Man. City (nine) are top for goals scored over the opening three Gameweeks while the Manchester side trail only Liverpool (7.79) for xG (7.05).
Their opponents Brentford have conceded four goals over the same period and have not kept a clean sheet. However, the London side are ranked 18th for shots conceded (51) with only West Ham (52) and Newcastle (55) more generous. Salah's total of 41 FPL points over the opening first three Gameweeks is joint-top with Haaland while no midfielder has been afforded more 'big chances' (five) than the Egyptian international, as the below image from our Opta Stats Sandbox feature shows
Saka (seven) is the only midfielder to have landed more shots on target than his six while he is third for 'Expected Goals' (xG) (1.88) behind Tavernier (2.26) and Luis Diaz (2.34). He is also joint-top for 'big chances' created (four) and sixth for 'Expected Assists' (xA) (1.48).
Liverpool have scored seven goals this season (second) and are top for both 'big chances' (16) and xG (7.79).
Their visitors Forest have benefited from a kind run of fixtures to start the campaign and have conceded just two goals over the opening three matches. They are ranked fourth for 'Expected Goals Conceded' (xGC) (2.87) but are yet to play any of last season's 'top six'. Welbeck looks to have established himself as a key player under new manager Hurzler and has contributed two goals and an assist over the opening three fixtures.
As the below image from our Match Centre feature shows, over Brighton's last five matches he is top amongst their players for goals (three), shots on target (four) and attempted assists (six) while only João Pedro (2.0) has registered a higher xG than his 1.6.
Brighton have scored six goals over the opening there Gameweeks (fourth) while only Forest (35) and Liverpool (39) have managed more shots in the box than the South Coast side (34).
