Maddison tops the comparison for assists (two) and attempted assists (nine), The England International is thriving in the number 10 role for Spurs. He is also second in the comparison for shots (eight), shots on target (SoT) (four) and third for ‘big chances’ (BC) (two). Spurs play Burnley and Sheff. Utd. in the next two matches, both promoted sides look to be struggling in the top flight so far. Several FPL managers started the season with Richarlison over Maddison due to the Brazilian international’s ‘out-of-position’ (OOP) appeal but making the switch to the England international appears to be a prudent move.
Sterling has notched two goals and one assist so far this season, all of which came in Gameweek 3 against Luton. Five of his six shots were also in that game along with all three of his SoT. He has managed four attempted assists with only Mbeumo (three) attempting fewer. His BC numbers are healthy, with two BC afforded and one big chance created. Seeing as all of these returns came in the one game against Luton, the sample size is small, but the England International has gone on record stating that he wants to be Chelsea’s top-scorer and is determined to play a more pivotal role in the team this season. With no European distractions and a great fixture run for Chelsea, he is a good long-term pick for FPL squads. As the below image from our Transfer Analytics feature shows. he is the most transferred in player this Gameweek with over 500,000 managers bringing him in so far.

Mbeumo tops the comparison for FPL points (25), goals (three), SoT (five), BC (four) and Expected FPL points (26). It is worth mentioning that two of these three goals have been penalties, and in terms of creativity he ranks bottom in the comparison with only three attempted assists. However, his four BC still includes two chances which he really should have scored from and Brentford have an amazing run of fixtures for the next six Gameweeks as shown in the Fixture Analyser image below. Nailed for 90 minutes every game, he often switches to a striker role from the wing towards the end of matches after Wissa is subbed, and his stock is soaring amongst FPL managers.

Bowen has gotten off to a flyer with two goals and an assist in the first three games. He is top of the comparison for shots (11) and SoT (five) while he is also joint-third for chances created. He has been involved in four BC, which is joint-top in the comparison. West Ham play Luton next who have conceded seven goals in their two top flight matches, so for instant FPL points, Bowen could be the man.
Diaby has taken to life in the Premier League like a duck to water, with two goals and an assist in the first three matches. He has taken eight shots, landed five on target and attempted six assists. He is top for BC created (three) in the comparison, and has also been afforded a BC. Villa’s short term fixtures are a bit difficult with Liverpool and Chelsea in two of their next three matches, but beyond that, the Birmingham based side have an excellent run. Investing in him after three Gameweeks might be the optimal move.
