Salah tops the Custom Stats xFPL table for Gameweek 3 with a score of 12.3. The Egyptian international created three 'big chances' and was afforded two as well.
De Bruyne and McNeil were the most creative players over the weekend with six attempted assists each. McNeil created two more 'big chances' (three vs one) than the Belgian international and despite De Bruyne having six shots, the former beat him for xFPL score with 6.7 vs 5.9.
Wissa and Porro were also joint-top for shots (six) with De Bruyne, however none of Porro's attempts were in the box while Wissa attempted four from inside the penalty area. This led to a much higher xFPL score for Wissa (10.8) compared to Porro (4.4).
Hattrick hero Haaland was top for 'big chances' (three), the Norwegian international took four shots in the box and notched an xFPL score of 11.8
xFPL is calculated primarily using expected goals (xG), assists (xA), which combine as Fantasy Premier League (FPL) involvements (xG + xA = xI), as well as expected clean sheets (xCS). These numbers are a result of underlying statistics (i.e. shot type and location will give a probability of scoring = xG). xFPL is the combination of these statistics and factors in appearance and bonus points to give an overall expected FPL point score.
As the below image from our Transfer Analytics feature shows, João Pedro is the most popular transfer in for Gameweek 4 so far with over 400,000 FPL managers bringing him in already.
Haaland, Luis Díaz and Onana are popular options amongst FPL managers after their hauls in Gameweek three, while Salah in sixth has also been bought by over 200,000 FPL managers. Lewis is the only defender in the top eight after his assist against West Ham.
Despite scoring against Spurs, Isak is the most sold player over the international break with over 300,000 FPL managers parting ways with the Swedish international. Watkins and Saka's assists were not enough for FPL managers to keep the faith while Gordon disappointed against Spurs where he failed to register a single goal attempt.
Amongst forwards, FPL managers are looking to raise funds for Haaland which means Isak, Muniz, Watkins and Solanke are being sold for the Brighton duo of Welbeck and Pedro.
In midfield, the Liverpool duo of Diaz and Salah account for six of the top 10 transfer combinations with Saka, Jota, Gordon and Nkunku making way. In defence, the transfers are far more scattered with Digne, Keane, Lewis and Robertson all seeing new owners.
As the above image from our Opta Player Heatmaps feature shows, Pedro has outscored Muniz by 12 FPL points over the three opening fixtures with the former failing to register any FPL returns so far.
Despite taking more shots (11 vs five), shots in the box (11 vs three) and landing more shots on target (four vs three), Muniz has failed to find the back of the net so far while Pedro has scored twice.
As the above image from our Fixture Difficulty Ratings feature shows, Brighton are ranked second for the next three Gameweeks with home games against Ipswich and Forest while Fulham are in fifth with the Cottagers hosting West Ham and Newcastle over the next two. Based on this analysis, selling Muniz for Pedro does appear to be a sensible move.
