Who are the most transferred in FPL players?

Top 10 most transferred in FPL players

Here are the ten most transferred-in players for Gameweek 28, based from the Transfer Analytics tool. Over 200,000 managers jumped on Mateta early, but they may regret the move as he picked up an injury in the FA Cup.

What are the top 5 FPL transfer combinations?

Hall → Aït-Nouri

Injured until June, Hall (£5.0m) is being widely transferred out by FPL managers.

His top replacement, Aït-Nouri (£4.7m), has strong short-term potential, with upcoming fixtures against Everton, Southampton, and West Ham.

The Wolves defender has scored 8 points in his last three matches, including a clean sheet, while his xFPL of 11.78 suggests he should have delivered even more returns.

Cunha → Beto

With Cunha (£7.0m) suspended until April, FPL managers are moving for Beto (£5.1m) as a budget forward.

The Everton striker has impressed recently, scoring 16 points in his last three matches, including 2 goals and 2 bonus points. With fixtures against Wolves, West Ham, and Liverpool, and an xFPL of 18.45 over the last three gameweeks, he looks like a solid FPL option.

Cunha → Marmoush

Another strong alternative to Cunha is Marmoush (£7.2m), who has delivered 21 points in his last three matches, including 3 goals and 3 bonus points.

His upcoming FPL fixtures—Nottingham Forest, Brighton, and Leicester—look promising, though his xFPL of 12.74 suggests he may be overperforming.

Robinson → Muñoz

FPL managers are switching from Robinson (£5.0m) to Muñoz (£5.0m) due to his recent strong form. The Crystal Palace defender has scored 18 points in his last three matches, with a goal, an assist, and a clean sheet.

Palace’s fixtures—Ipswich, a blank in GW29, and Southampton—offer short-term appeal if using the Free Hit chip or there is sufficient bench cover, and their double gameweek in GW32 against Man City and Newcastle adds long-term value.

Cunha → Wissa

Another popular FPL transfer is Wissa (£6.4m), replacing Cunha. The Brentford forward has produced 19 points in his last three matches, with 2 goals, and 5 bonus points.

His next fixtures—Aston Villa, Bournemouth, and Newcastle—look promising, while his high xFPL of 18.3 suggests his form is sustainable.

What is xFPL?

xFPL is calculated primarily using expected goals (xG), assists (xA), which combine as Fantasy Premier League (FPL) involvements (xG + xA = xI), as well as expected clean sheets (xCS). These numbers are a result of underlying statistics (i.e. shot type and location will give a probability of scoring = xG). xFPL is the combination of these statistics and factors in appearance and bonus points to give an overall expected FPL point score.
