Player | Club | Season | Points |
---|---|---|---|
Mohamed Salah | Liverpool | 2024/25 | 306 |
Mohamed Salah | Liverpool | 2017/18 | 303 |
Luis Suarez | Liverpool | 2013/14 | 295 |
Frank Lampard | Chelsea | 2009/10 | 284 |
Cristiano Ronaldo | Man United | 2007/08 | 283 |
When Salah first broke the 300-point barrier in 2017/18, he surpassed Luis Suarez’s 295-point haul from 2013/14. Now, he has extended his own record even further.
Salah’s highest-scoring game this season came in Gameweek 17 against Tottenham Hotspur. He netted twice and assisted twice, racking up an incredible 21 points in a single match.
Salah’s initial record-breaking season in 2017/18, shown in the Opta Heatmaps tool below, saw him amass 303 points from 34 starts and two substitute appearances.
This time, he’s achieved an even higher tally in just 29 starts—seven fewer than before. With nine league matches still to play, there’s potential for him to set an almost untouchable benchmark.
His stats this season, shown above, have been nothing short of phenomenal. In just 29 appearances, the 32-year-old has delivered 44 attacking returns (27 goals and 17 assists), featuring 17 double-digit hauls and securing 51 bonus points. He has blanked only four times all season.
To put his dominance into perspective, Salah has scored 126 points more than his closest competitor, Cole Palmer (£11.0m), as shown in the Opta Stats Sandbox.
With his past records already shattered, what’s next for Salah? We asked ChatFPL, the first FPL-dedicated chatbot, for its thoughts.
Its projection of 380 to 385 points is staggering—potentially 80 points more than second place and surpassing his legendary 303-point haul from 2017/18. However, as ChatFPL pointed out, Liverpool’s dominance in the title race could lead to rotation. If the Reds secure the league early, Arne Slot may choose to rest Salah, prioritising European fixtures instead.
Regardless of what happens next, Salah has already cemented his place in FPL history. The only question now is: how high can he push the bar before the season ends?
