In this blog, the three best Captaincy options for Fantasy Premier League (FPL) Gameweek 19 are discussed. Picks are in the below format:

Mohamed Salah (bur)

Salah has been the season's top scoring midfielder with 12 goals, the Egyptian international is also top amongst midfielders for shots (56), shots in the box (SiB) (43), shots on target (SoT) (27), 'big chances' (BC) (15) and 'Expected Goals' (xG) (10.70). He is also third for FPL assists (seven) and top for BC created (14). Liverpool have scored 37 goals this season while only Villa (38) and Man. City (40) have been more prolific. The Merseyside outfit are top for shots (327) and second for xG (37.58) just behind Newcastle (38.34). Their hosts Burnley have conceded 36 goals with only Sheff. Utd. Narrowly behind Salah, Son has found the back of the net 11 times this campaign and as the Stats Sandbox image below shows, he is third for SoT (24) only to Bowen (25) and Salah (27) amongst midfielders. He is also third for BC (11) only to the aforementioned duo (15 each). He has also notched four FPL assists and is fifth for 'Expected Assists' (xA) (5.32). Spurs are ranked third for goals scored (37) and second for shots (288), only to Liverpool (327). Their hosts Brighton have conceded 31 goals and are the only side in the league yet to keep a clean sheet. The Seagulls are ranked seventh for shots conceded (223) and 12th for xGC (29.27). Gabriel Jesus (WHU)

Jesus looks to be over his injury issues and is a pivotal player for Arsenal, as the below image from our Match Stats feature shows. Over their last five matches the forward is top amongst their players for goals (two), xG (2.2), SoT (eight) while he is also third for assists (one) and attempted assists (nine). The Gunners have scored 36 goals this campaign (fifth), and are also ranked fifth for xG (34.71). Their visitors West Ham have conceded 30 goals and have kept just three clean sheets. The Hammers are ranked 17th for shots conceded (283) and 14th for xGC (30.43). Our Fix Algorithm currently projects a point score of 4.6 for Jesus.
