Julián Álvarez (BUR)

Álvarez has been Man. City’s primary goal threat in Haaland’s absence, the Argentinian international trails only the big Norwegian for shots (58 vs 56), ‘big chances’ (BC) (27 vs 10) and xG (15.14 vs 7.50). He is also top for chances created (47) with only Foden (six) notching more assists than his five. Man. City are the league’s top scorers with 48 goals, the reigning Champions are also top for shots on target (SoT) (138) and third for BC (63). Ollie Watkins (NEW)

He is also fourth for BC (nine) and fifth for ‘Expected Goals’ (xG) (5.68). No forward has notched more assists 9seven) or created more chances (18) in home matches. Villa have scored more goals at home than any other side (29), the Midlands outfit are seventh for BC (30) and sixth for xG (22.0) in home matches. Their visitors Newcastle have struggled on the road this season and have conceded 22 goals in 11 away games (15th) with just one clean sheet. Darwin Núñez (CHE)

Liverpool have scored 26 goals at Anfield with only Arsenal (27) and Villa (29) more prolific in home matches. They are top for shots (236) with only Newcastle (46) creating more BC than their 38. Their visitors Chelsea have conceded 17 goals on the road and have kept just two clean sheets. The London side are ranked fifth for SiB conceded (89) and 10th for xGC (18.61).
