Headliner - Raheem Sterling (SHU)

Man. City’s return to goal-scoring form has seen Sterling average 6.7 Fantast Premier League (FPL) points per 90 minutes across the last four gameweeks, with two goals and two assists. As the Stats Sandbox shows, the 26-year-old has fired 10 shots in the box (SiB) in that time to rank joint-third amongst all players, just behind teammates Foden (12) and Gündogan (13). Gündogan (2.33) is the only FPL midfielder able to better Sterling’s 2.00 expected goals (xG), while only Foden (43) has taken more than his 41 touches in the opposition’s box. Man. City have scored 17 goals over the last six gameweeks, more than any other side. They are also top for shots (104), ‘big chances’ (24) and shots on target (SoT) (40). Sheff. Utd have conceded eight goals over the last six gameweeks, only Chelsea (nine), Wolves (10), Palace (11), Newcastle (12) and West Brom (19) have conceded more. They allowed opponents 22 SoT and seven ‘big chances’ over those matches. Our Fix Algorithm currently projects a 6.6 score for Sterling.

Mohamed Salah (whu)

Salah saw his barren streak in the Premier League extended to six matches, after VAR ruled out his well-taken finish against Spurs due to a handball in the build-up. Over the last six gameweeks, only Mané (64) has taken more touches in the box than his 57 but the Egyptian has landed just two SoT. He ranks joint-eighth amongst midfielders for SiB (10) and 'big chances' (three). He is the third most owned player in the top 1000 with 68.2% ownership as per our FPL Statistics feature. Although Liverpool have scored just four goals in the last six gameweeks, they are ranked second for shots (103), only trailing Man. City (104). Meanwhile, Arsenal (64), Villa (65) and Man. City (74) have taken more SiB than their 62. West Ham have conceded five goals over the last six gameweeks, keeping three clean sheets. They have allowed opponents 16 SoT and five 'big chances' over those matches, so there will be chances for Liverpool. Our Fix Algorithm currently projects a point score of 5.4 for Salah. 

James Maddison (LEE)

With three goals in the last four gameweeks, Maddison has averaged 7.3 PPG as per our Fix Heatmaps feature. Amongst midfielders, only De Bruyne (16), Gündogan (17) and B. Fernandes (20) have taken more than his 12 shots in that time. No teammate has fired as many as his 10 goal attempts from open play, while only Tielemans has completed more final third passes (54 to 49). Leicester have scored 10 goals over the last six gameweeks, only Arsenal (14) and Man. City (17) have fared better. They are ranked seventh for SoT (24) and ‘big chances’ (12). Leeds have conceded five goals over the last six gameweeks, keeping two clean sheets. They are ranked ninth-worst for shots conceded (67) and ‘big chances’ conceded (nine). Dominic Calvert-Lewin (NEW)

Calvert-Lewin made his return from injury against Leicester midweek, where he was restricted to just one SoT. The Everton talisman has five goals and three assists in eight home matches this season, averaging 6.1 PPG at Goodison Park. He ranks joint-seventh for ‘big chances’ (7) at home amongst forwards, while only Watkins, Firmino (each 27) and Kane (32) have fired more shots than his 25. He is the fourth most transferred in player this week as per our Transfer Stats feature. Everton have scored 16 goals in home matches this season, only Villa (17), Chelsea (19), Man. City and Liverpool (21 each) have scored more. They registered 37 SoT and 15 ‘big chances’ across those nine matches. Newcastle have conceded 12 goals over the last six gameweeks, keeping just one clean sheet. Only West Brom (19) have shipped more. Only Villa (93) and West Brom (107) have conceded more shots than their 91 and no side has allowed opponents more ‘big chances’ (19). João Cancelo (SHU)

After a double-figure return against West Brom, Cancelo has picked up 33 FPL points in the last five gameweeks, and only Stones (41) has earned more amongst defenders. No defender has taken as many shots (nine) or landed as many SoT (four) over that spell, while only Robertson (10) and Shaw (13) can better his eight attempted assists. Meanwhile, Alexander-Arnold (21) is the only defender to have taken more than his 16 touches in the opposition’s box. Man. City have conceded just one goal over the last six gameweeks, keeping five clean sheets. They rank first for SoT conceded (10) and ‘big chances’ conceded (two) over that period. Sheff. Utd have scored just four goals over the same period, only Newcastle, Southampton, Fulham (each two) and Liverpool (one) have scored fewer.
