Caveat - Picks are in below format
Rüdiger has emerged as one of the first names on the Chelsea team sheet since Tuchel arrived, and the German has displayed plenty of attacking prowess too with two goals and three assists. His total of 28 shots is only beaten by Alexander-Arnold (37) and Cancelo (58) amongst defenders. Even in a team that sees as much rotation as Chelsea, the German is rated at 100% likely to start by our Predicted Lineups feature. The Blues' backline has been frugal, conceding only 18 goals and Man. City (17) are the only team to fare better. The league leaders (27) are the only team to have allowed opponents fewer 'big chances' than the Blues (31). Their first opponents Burnley have scored just 10 goals in their 12 home matches this season, only Brighton (10) and Norwich (eight) have managed fewer. The Clarets have tested the opposition goalkeeper just 44 times and only Norwich, Brighton (each 42) and Wolves (39) have been worse in home matches. Their second opponents Norwich have scored just two goals in the last four gameweeks and only Brentford (one) have been poorer. No side have landed fewer shots on target (SoT) (six) or created fewer 'big chances' (one) than the Canaries over that period. Our Fix Algorithm currently projects a point score of 10.1 for Rüdiger.
Salah has found the back of the net twice over the last four gameweeks, no midfielder has managed more. As the Stats Sandbox image below shows, the Egyptian is also top amongst midfielders for shots (19), shots in the box (SiB) (15), SoT (eight) and 'big chances' (six). No side has scored more goals than Liverpool (12) over the aforementioned period and the Reds are also top for 'big chances' (22) and SoT (36). Their visitors West Ham have been tight in defence of late, conceding just three goals in the last four gameweeks. However, the Hammers are ranked ninth for shots conceded (47) and eighth for SiB conceded (26) so they have been a bit lucky. Our Fix Algorithm currently projects a point score of 7.2 for Salah.
Adams has been in prolific form with three goals in the last four gameweeks, and is top amongst forwards. Only Broja (11), Lacazette, Kane (each 12) and Ronaldo (13) have attempted more SiB than his 10 while only Ronaldo and Kane (each five) have been afforded more 'big chances' than his four. As the image below from our FPL Statistics feature shows, he is below 5% ownership making him a great differential pick. The Saints have scored eight goals over the same period with only Spurs, Man. City (each nine) and Liverpool (12) being more prolific. Their underlying numbers have been strong as well and only Liverpool (36) have landed more SoT than their 33. Their first opponents Villa have conceded five goals over the last four gameweeks, keeping just one clean sheet. The Midlands side are ranked ninth for SoT conceded (12) and 12th for 'big chances' conceded (eight). Their second opponents Newcastle have tightened up at the back, conceding just two goals in the last four gameweeks. No side has conceded fewer SoT (seven) and 'big chances' (three) than the Magpies. However, our Fix Algorithm currently projects a point score of 8.8 for Adams.
