GW37 Point Projections

Fantasy Football Fix 10 May 2022

In this blog, the Fix Algorithm player point projections are analysed by position.

Goalkeeper

Pickford (8.5) is the top projected Goalkeeper for gameweek 37 with Villa‘s shot-stopper Martinez (8.2) in second. Pickford has racked up 12 saves in Everton's last two matches and has proven vital to Everton's survival hopes. Butland (7.2) is expected to retain his spot between the sticks over Guaita, while the popular Schmeichel is only projected to score 6.1, with the Chelsea fixture in particular looking unlikely to provide a clean sheet.

Defence

Villa defenders dominate the rankings with Cash (8.0) taking top spot. The fit again Digne (7.6) comes in third with Mings (7.8) taking second spot by virtue of his set-piece threat. As the Stats Sandbox image below shows, no player across all positions has created more chances than Digne over the last two matches.

Konsa (7.0) is expected to retain his spot alongside Mings with Chambers playing in a midfield role. R. James (6.3) and Alexander-Arnold (6.2) are the highest-projected single gameweek defenders.

Midfield

Zaha (7.9) and Salah (7.9) are the highest projected scoring midfielders with the Egyptian the only single gameweek player to make the top five. As the below image from our Transfer Analytics page shows, the Ivory Coast international is a popular acquisition this week with nearly 50,000 managers bringing him in already.

Coutinho (7.1) is expected to slot back in the team after his rest against Burnley, and Gordon (7.0) looks like a great enabler with his budget price tag of just 4.7. Tielemans (6.9) and Maddison (6.7) are also projected to do well with the Watford fixture particularly appealing. Son is projected to score 6.5 and might be worth retaining for those managers on a Free Hit.

Forwards

Vardy (9.1) is the highest-projected scoring forward and also tops the overall projections. Richarlison (7.2) and Watkins (7.0) are likely to be popular choices this week, but Ings (6.2) could be a canny differential if you need to make up some ground. Kane (5.9) is the top-ranking single gameweek forward.
