Fulham have secured the firepower of Aleksandar Mitrovic in a £22M move after the Serb proved integral in their run to promotion from the Championship last season. Many fantasy managers will remember the player from the 2015/16 season in which he scored an impressive 9 goals as well as 4 assists for Newcastle United. Unfortunately, poor discipline cost him; he was sent off twice and struggled to really establish himself as a regular starter. He can perhaps be forgiven for some 'hot headedness 'in his youth and it's notable that Mirtovic has not picked up another red card since then.

Now 23 years old, he is perhaps starting to fulfill the potential that saw a UEFA panel select him among Europe's top 10 young players as a teenager, and his performances for Fulham last season were certainly impressive. 12 goals in 15 appearances saw the Serb lead the league for goal scoring rate, registering a 0.7 goals per game, and this was backed up by his statistics. He again led the league for shooting, averaging 4.1 shots per game, considerably more than Jota's 2.7 per game for Wolves, for example.

Of course, it's a big step up to the Premier League and Mitrovic and Fulham will be tested by sterner defences than they faced in the Championship. The Cottagers look to be strengthening well, however. The addition of Jean Michaël Seri to pull the strings in midfield plus the pace and drive of André Schürrle out wide to complement that of Ryan Sessegnon bodes very well for Fulham and their fantasy potential going forward.
