Defence

According to our Fixture Analyser, Spurs and Newcastle have the best fixtures from a defensive point of view over the next six gameweeks. Both teams have been porous at the back but the appointments of Conte and Howe should see an improvement in results. Both managers are known for encouraging their fullbacks to bomb forward, no Newcastle player has created more chances than Ritchie (25) and Spurs also have several attractive options. Reguillon was quoted in a recent interview

"I’m enjoying the position because I can attack more! He [Conte] wants me to be solid in defence but at the same time I have to arrive in the box, help the strikers, score goals, give assists. Now I have more of a chance to score goals and give assists so let’s work."

Everton and Watford have the worst defensive fixtures so owners of their assets should probably start looking at exit routes. Ramsdale has kept back to back clean sheets but plays Liverpool, Man. Utd and Everton away over the next four. Chelsea defenders have been very popular over the last few gameweeks but their fixture run looks significantly trickier over the next six with games against Leicester, Man. Utd and West Ham in the next four gameweeks. All three teams are in the top six for goals scored this season.

Attack

Spurs also have the best fixtures for attackers and the Leeds game in particular is a great entry point. Only Newcastle (56) and Norwich (63) have allowed opponents more shots on target than Leeds (55) this season. Leicester are in third with the Chelsea fixture the only tricky game for the Foxes in the next six. Vardy has failed to test the opposition keeper over the last three matches but once the Chelsea fixture is out of the way, he has a nice run where he can plunder points once again. Burnley are in second and Cornet has been in fine form of late. Only Salah (four) has scored more goals than Cornet (three) over the last four gameweeks.

West Ham have the worst fixtures from an attacking standpoint and with Antonio blanking in three of his last four matches, owners will surely be itching to get rid. He still ranks sixth amongst forwards for shots in the box (eight) while only Chelsea (12) and Liverpool (14) have scored more goals than the Hammers (nine) over the last four so perhaps owners should keep the faith. Leeds play Spurs, Brighton, Man. City and Chelsea over the next six which should have Raphinha owners considering alternatives. It might be worth holding the Brazilian through the first two matches as the home games against Palace and Brentford could be profitable still.
